 | Autos - Alan collects 1946 Mercurys. We have three:
a woodie station wagon, a convertible, and a 4-door sedan. Only
the 4-door looks like a car. The other two are in pieces
awaiting reassembly.
We do have most of the parts required to put them together and make
complete cars--to include many spares. When we get everything
sorted out, EBay will be our friend.
|
 | Pets - Our pets are a big part of our immediate family.
We have a spaniel-chow-cross named Dazzle, a not-so-miniature
dachshund named Hershey, and two Siamese cats, Magellan and Pericles.
A new addition in the Summer of 2004, Millie. She's a
hound-cross of some sort and a little over a year old, we think.

 | Glass - Alan and I both collect glass. Alan picked up
most of his Depression glass before the prices went up (but not
actually during the Depression). I collect one
pattern--thumbprint--usually by Fenton (more easily found) or Bakewell
& Pears (more valuable).
|
 | Lanterns - Alan has a collection of well over
1000 kerosene lanterns (very few duplicates). He publishes a
nationwide newsletter for other collectors and sponsored his first Lanternvention in Oct 2001 in Pennsylvania.
Lanternvention 2004 is scheduled for Oct 2004 in Pennsylvania again.

 | Polar Bears - Jean collects polar bears.
Since the real thing is not only difficult but illegal to keep, she
settles for various likenesses.
|
 | Computers - Jean makes little direct income from
computers these days, but they remain a hobby.
|
 | Music - Alan plays many instruments--mostly for
fun. |
